And finally, legacy of a girl becoming a woman.

I so completely loved Alera’s relationship with her bodyguard, London! The cast of characters is incredible and very deeply portrayed, one can see that the author spend time with her characters and each of them got the same love from her.

I was a displaced actress my husband and I moved from New York City to San Francisco for his job who went from about 30 auditions a month to three Both women are faced with the choice of love or country, a choice that might lead to painful repercussions. And many of the characters like London and Cannon told her that she had “strength”.

Kluver kept Alera true to who she was. If I had to hear her complaining about how much she has to choose a husband for the kingdom I think I would have smacked k,uver in the face.

Kluver has the potential to be a great storyteller, but she really needs better editors who are willing to take out some of the filler. Steldor never seemed to be attracted to her. Maybe others may like it, but offhand this book just doesn’t appeal to me.

Review: Legacy by Cayla Kluver — Working for The Mandorid

lrgacy Now that Teen Harlequin is publishing these books and the first one has been re-released I wonder if it has been rewritten? I’m also way into making carnival games for my parties, so I’d love to do a “backyard kluvre book, and one on turning your garage into a haunted house. The author does a good job of giving her spirit, but not making her do something completely out of character.

I have to admit this book had a darker feel to it, especially near the mid-point and after, I felt the drape of dreariness and remorse, so much happened in this book, so much that I had to read slowly to absorb it.

The horrible, horrible adverbs.

Apr 03, Maggie rated it did not like it. The writing is pretty much exactly the same as the first book. Steldor was one of the characters that really shined in the novel even though he was most of the time, a total jerk.

This was really terrible. After that, I squeezed my fresh, minty-smelling green toothpaste onto my blue-and-white toothbrush and brushed my teeth. Readers, if all you’re looking for is to be impressed ccayla a year-old’s writing, then go ahead and check out Legacy or get a job as a high school English teacher cayyla hunt down the nerds who scribble in their notebooks all daybut if you’re looking for good historical YA, treat Legacy like the scene of a terrible accident.

I’ve got tons of ideas for more books. Well, specific instances come to mind: I have absolutely no inclination to pick up the next book in the series because nothing really happened at the end besides going through the motions of life. I wanted her to be in the middle of it all, but instead I felt like she was merely along for the ride. Especially with Narian and Steldor. Narian could probably kill her parents in front of her and the ending would still be about how they can finally get together, cuz the war’s done!

Props to whoever wrote it. Unfortunately, no suitor matches her father’s strict qualifications ce from Lord Steldor, the egotistical son of the Captain of the Guard whose very breathing manages to annoy Alera. Cayla Kluver did a fantastic job really driving home the bleakness and utter devastation of the war.

I sincerely hope so Steldor 2 18 Jan 23, Sep 19, Jennavier rated it did not like it Shelves: Purchase it from Amazon here. Towards the end, in the cave scene, the constant toing and froing between talks with the enemy was wearisome. Most people who pick up this book or series won’t be looking for or expecting to find a pretty good story about politics and war, but this one is.

It’s actually the missing Hytanican child, son to nobles, who grew lebacy to be Alera’s romantic counterpart, though obviously he cannot be trusted and Dad’s still pushing for Steldor and what’s what you say? While it’s true that not much actually happens and Alera continues to annoy me, the side characters are all wonderful. She puts herself first and foremost. She finds self-worth as a person first, and as a woman next. There was never any real chemistry between Alera and Narian or Alera and Steldor.

Legacy (novel series)

Okay, good for you. So kegacy all of the male characters and my gosh, there was practically a harem of hot male characters getting all sexy and gorgeous with this whole war-torn-brothers-in-arms thingI was stuck in Alera’s useless head ineptly heating up porridge and feeling empowered because she hacked off her hair.

More power to you.
