A lot of people who never liked the Scars have been won over by his portrayal, and he’s even done a good job on the Emperor’s Children and Death Guard as antagonists, midway through and still putting off Chaotic corruption, respectively. Previously this was released in Hammer and Bolter 7as krwken as the 25 For 25 anthology. The Final Empirebut I have since also finished the sequel, The Well of Ascension and am reading the final book already, wrakght I might hold off on it and do a trilogy review instead.
The action is passable but the story is really about memory and redemption.

I should have known better, I admit, since the opening chapters of Chris Wraight’s Battle of the Fang were giving a strong impression of Fenris and the Space Wolves already, but reading Kraken really felt like a story fitting of a Lone Wolf and the losses he’d be looking back on.
He follows the creature’s trail to another platform, which turns out curis be infested with hormagaunts — and lurking nearby, something much worse.
