It is biblically accurate, encouraging, and life changing. His target audience would probably not have the emotional state of mind to get to the useful parts of the book which come around the middle to end. The authors are referring to getting on the “Peacebreaking” side of things. With crystal clarity this manual lays before us the wisdom that leads humble souls into that blessing.
There are several chapters that were not applicable to me, but in a way, that is a strength–it is a pretty complete book about handling a wide variety of conflicts. It does not take a person of great discernment or understanding to realize that conflict has been an extremely important matter in nearly every aspect of my life, from my intellectual studies  to my lifetime of interpersonal drama . I skimmed parts on court litigations.
Even so, this is a book that I will likely have to revisit at a future time because it an easy thing to acquire head knowledge in such matters, and an exceedingly difficult thing to practice such knowledge in our lives. They are there should I ever need them.
My wife and I have both grown to love the biblical principles of peace, that are laid out so clearly in the Peacemaker. This is a truly useful book for any Christian not living in seclusion It belongs in our hearts because the practices it espouses are at the heart of Christ’s invitation and command to live at peace with God, with our neighbor and within ourselves. It is a wonderful how-to book for Biblical conflict resolution but it would have benefited from more examples and stories.
