Though, the plot wasn’t all that great. And little Jeremy broke my heart. I just love this story it is sad, moving, funny and very very enjoyable.

Just One Wish by Janette Rallison – book review

Now, how was the book? The plot is, for various reasons, a bit far-fetched, but Ralli When I picked this one up I was looking for a cute, fluffy read with some possible romance.

I was stuck in Annika’s world and found myself confused coming back to the real world. This book was everything I thought it would be and more.

Like I mentioned before, even if some of the events seem hard to believe, I think that was part of the whole idea. So vibrantly layered and emotional. Steve and Annika became involved entirely too quickly for my liking. You can’t see it on this picture, but the cover actually has sparkles on it.

Just One Wish

I wanted to give it a lower rating, but the 5 is the only number key working on my computer at the moment, so I was stuck. The main character- Annika- was very easy to relate to and understand.

What a fun, fun and moving story. No one saw that? Being the loving and determined sister that she is, Annika decides that Jeremy must have his wish, thus beginning a series of implausible and possibly impossibleyet at turns hilarious, romantic and embarrassing, events. For the past few months, I feel as if I’ve only found novels that I feel obliged to finish rather than wanting to finish.

Teen Robin Hood is the latest craze, and demand is vastly outstripping supply. Check out an awesome trailer for this book at: I read this in under 2 hours! She blended heavy and light story lines together perfectly – the heavy tones were touching and the funny, romantic tones balanced well. It’s a delicate cover, without being over-the-top sweet. I definitely recommend it!

Though, even with these unrealistic details, Just One Wish was a still cute book.

Lastly, I loved how Annika could still have a wicked sense of humor in a time of such pain.

I own this book in my audible library and will diocinitly be listening to every few years You can develop an attraction to someone pretty quickly, but relationship? She manages to grab one off him and passes it to her friend, Madison, who’s waiting at the checkout that was okay; a bit of action never hurts.


Then came the second half with Steve and things started happening. The characters in this story are realistically starving for life. I couldn’t put it down – I literally finished it in a couple of hours. Not because it was gripping or thrilling, but because it was fun and the writing was fluid. On their drive home we find out why Annika wanted to get him the toy so badly.

Seventeen-year-old Annika is determined to grant her little brother’s wish before he has brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Since, for one, isn’t the cover so cute? So, someone would find the snake, freak out and who knows what else?
