I’m definitely glad I read this book in Spanish, even tho For Sandinistas, there is no such thing as a grey area. Yet Fire from the Mountain is dedicated to this period when the FSLN was unheralded, marginal, and ineffective, rather than to their tumultuous final campaign and ultimate victory. In my opinion this in not about the guerrilla it is about the human transformation, how we can became “el hombre nuevo”.
