Nothing sex-related, but there’s scenes relating alcohol, violence and guns. This is the first “fluff” book I’ve read in over a decade. If it hadn’t been a part of Chomp I wouldn’t have missed it wouldn’t be making the comment that it made the plot seem a bit fatty.
What can I say people? The really bad guy somehow went from drinking and punching to a murderous rage. After this fight, Derek Badger decided that he only wanted to face wild animals for stunts.
Still, the book was amusing, the characters rooted in a true if cockeyed version of reality, and the plot was rich. Search parties head out and promptly get lost themselves.

Roy is pulled into a mystery to find out who the boy is and what he is doing. I recommend this book for people 10 and up. While Mickey steers the hijacked airboat on an aimless course through the swamp, ensuring that Jared Gordon doesn’t get near the kids, Wahoo and Tuna try to find some way of going after them and also getting the wounded Link back to civilization. Chomp in particular should be required reading in high school or college. By the end I walked self-consciously down a sidewalk listening to the book, wondering if passers-by were wondering about the laughter I could’t hold in.
Lists with This Book. He is a pampered, mean and obnoxious person who doesn’t care a bit about animals. I would also recommend this book to others for people cadl like animals and adventure.

Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed reading it. It includes great dialogue that puts personality into the characters.

Hers is a drunken bum who drove her mother away to Chicago and now beats her instead of her mother. We soon realized it was above his reading level, so I read the book to my 4th grade son and 2nd grade daughter. It doesn’t help that for the first half of the book it’s all about Derek Badger, and then he literally disappears and we forget all about him until he once again literally jumps back onto the page. She is especially outraged to learn that the script calls for him to kill and eat some random animal, not because he is actually starvingbut because his viewers expect him to.
In the book CHOMP it reminds me of many other mystery books I have read such as scat which is written by the same author. This book follows a boy named Wahoo worst name ever as he works with his dad as an animal wrangler for a wildlife reality tv show.
A girl is admitted to their crew and here author Carl Hiaasen showcases a distinction I appreciated throughout the book: Also there tends to be loving, if odd, parents involved which is nice. These students are in 4th-5th grade. Chomp was surprisingly heartfelt and funny. Hoot, Flush, Scat and Chomp.
I particularly loved the family dynamics in this one. Nothing can beat that. Mangoes, Mischief, and Tales of Friendship: With new quirky characters, a crazy plot, and a variety of animals hoping for salvation from money hungry predators, the reader gets a rollicking good ride compliments of one of the most creative and environmentally sensitive authors writing today.
